These two brothers and I have been friends for such a long time, since sophomore year of high school. So when Brian, the older of the two needed some ideas for a Christmas gift for his mother, photos were such an easy answer! The three of us had a photo session back in 2011 and this last session really reflected just how much they've grown up and matured. Here are a few from that winter session in 2011:
And here they are, four years later! These two are just plain awesome guys, braving the cold at the beautiful Highlands Ranch Mansion. Enjoy!
Having the privilege of documenting a bride’s special day is not a responsibility I take lightly. In this case, I actually knew the bride from high school and this is the second former classmate that I was able to help out and be there for her big day. So naturally when I heard she got engaged, I was SO excited for her! We met up at Isabelle Farm in Lafayette for her engagement session and that was my first time meeting Charlie. Talk about an adorable couple! They brought along their dogs, Sophia and Huck and we played among the pumpkins, sunflowers and fall colors about a year before their big day. These two complement each other in every way; needless to say, I was so very happy that Whitney found Charlie. Here are a couple highlights from their engagement session:
Fast forward to their wedding- booked at the iconic Space Gallery in the art district off Santa Fe in Denver on October 9th, 2015. I arrived early to get some prep shots and could tell that Whitney and Charlie put a lot of their hearts into this wedding. Whitney was a masterful DIY bride, with beautiful handmade music sheet flowers that adorned the reception hall, cake, bouquets and boutonnieres. Every detail was planned and special- even the laid back atmosphere after the ceremony. Rather than go through many of the traditional formalities of a wedding, Whitney and Charlie opted to relax and just dance! So enjoy the following photos that show just how awesome a DIY wedding can be, and how truly happy my friends are!
