Family. It's not just something, it's everything.
I think part of what I love most about photographing families is in-between moments. The moments I notice as a part of each of my sessions while getting to know my clients better turn out to be my favorite images of the bunch. This lovely family is no different. To cherish the golden rays in their hair, the tight grasp of his hand around your finger and their fleeting "baby" scent (mommy's know what I'm talking about) is to treasure motherhood in itself. I strive to capture that essence in every family session.
Back in December of 2016, I ran a Holiday Photo Session Giveaway wherein Facebook fans could nominate each other and vote for a winner. Well it turns out, voting was a little tricky so I went with a random, name-in-a-hat drawing to keep it fair. I announced the winner on Christmas morning via Facebook (you can check out the video here) and the rest is history. Enjoy these moments from an adorable session bathed in warm winter light and love. <3
Ready to book your session? Awesome, I'm excited! I'd love to meet you and chat about your family over some coffee. We can bond over the ups and downs of parenthood, you're definitely not alone there! Stay connected with me for special events, offers and more!
About the Author: I'm Melanie Lynn, I love storytelling through photos and making new friends with my clients. I'm a mommy to two adorable boys and couldn't imagine life without them. My hubby is my biggest fan and supporter- just incredible! I enjoy making people laugh, playing with my kiddos, reading all sorts of novels and scrap-booking. I'm a foodie - I love trying new food (or new coffee shops!) and I love making new foods. I believe in preserving memories through photographs, for generations to come. I love to dream of what my great grandparents were like in their 20's raising my grandfather in southern Indiana. The photos I take of my children are a living memory for their children and their grandchildren. Babies change so much, I love to capture their changes in a time capsule, since the first year is such a change for the whole family!
